Nurgle's Rot – Decay and Inactivity

ELO Decay

• Nurgle's Rot is run at the end of a Quadrum.
• An eligible player who did not participate in a competitive, non-decay event during that Quadrum receives 1.5% ELO decay.
• Players already on 1400 ELO or lower are skipped.
• Decay never takes a player below the 1400 ELO floor.

Active Player Status

When Nurgle's Rot is run, the system checks the Quadrum being completed and the immediately previous Quadrum.

• A calculated game in a competitive, non-decay competition in either Quadrum keeps the player active.
• A player with no qualifying game in both Quadrums is set to inactive.
• Synthetic Nurgle's Rot entries do not count as participation.
• Inactive players are removed from the active rankings and player list.
• Inactive players are excluded from the bottom-25% calculation used to assign ELO to new and promoted players.

Return to Play

Inactive players may return. Processing a new competitive result reactivates the player, and their ELO continues from its decayed value.
