Israel 40K National Championships

Israel 40K National Championships

This month we got some fantastic news on the back of the Teams Tournament from Games Workshop in the form of a Golden Ticket. This means we will be able to send an Israeli 40K player to the World Championshops Warhammer (WCW) which is going to be held in Barcelona this year. This is an exiting development and a reward for the great community that has grown with the generous help of Dima from Geek Shelter hosting these events and every time pushing the limits a little bit more each time. The work started after the last WCW when we started the application process and after filling in forms and talking to the people in HQ we were sent an email telling us we had received the Golden Ticket.

If that wasn't enough, the excitement rushed through the community as we announced the Israel 40K National Championships and within a day had already filled up 30 spaces. Currently at time of writing there are only a handful of places left so if you want to take part in this historic step in the 40K growth come and join us. The winner will be crowned the National Champion of Israel for 2026 and represent us in Barcelona. Rumor has it we could even see the return of Dor to try his hand at taking the crown, although I am sure Sagi and Andre will have their say. Then again you never know, we could have an outside bet come charging through to take it.

WTC Captains Corner

WTC

WTC training continues to progress as we move towards a milestone of the the Alpine Cup where we will have two teams from Israel. The scrim versus Latvia was hard fought where we came unstuck with our estimates and lost 54-88. These are important lessons as each person in the team needs to step up and perform but more imortantly hit their targets. Currently there is an 8 man Try Hard teams tournament which brings some of the best players around the world to duke it out. Round 1 went well with us bringing in a convincing win against one of the Fireside teams. We’re moving into a very important stage of preparation where we need to pass through a broad range of activities. As mentioned the Alpine Cup is just around the corner and things will start to step up a gear as we ramp up towards the first target of the year. For some it's a welcome return to one of the best tournaments outside of the WTC while for others a first step abroad playing in a competitive scenario. Either way fun will be had as the challenges are managed.

Consilium TTS

TTS

We have come to the last round of the Consilium half way mark for the inugural season with Feb TTS tournament now coming to an end. There is still some time to join the March TTS Tournament to start getting the practice in for Israel 40K National Championships which again you should save your spot before they are all gone.
