Our first GT here in Israel took place over the weekend and we had some really tight rounds with some ups and downs. Alexsei and Guy took it down to the wire and managed to push each other to the last throw of the dice and a fraw was a fiar result. Sagi managed to get onto the second step of the podium.

Even over the 5 rounds no one managed to walk away with just wins, showing the the rounds were close and that our local games throw the meta out the window.

An epic game of Guy vs Andre dragged on into the night with both players not wanting to give an inch. Even with the smell of BBQ drifitng through the hall as supper was being prepared. Day 1 was great with a few people deciding to step back from the second day. Again making it all the way to the end is already a win I think

Day 2 saw things come to a head and the top players were throwing dice all over the place. The mid boards were just as fun as the guys were evening matched trying to go 3-2 in the final games just to add a touch of respect to the weekend. We had some new payers and old faces showing up and it was really all played in a great atmosphere.

This coming weekend on Saturday the 25th October a Novice Tournament will be held. Let's see how those newer guys are coming through.
