Nurgle's Rot – Decay and Inactivity

Inactivity Handling

• Players who do not participate in a Quadrum are marked as inactive at the end of the cycle
• ELO decay is applied: 2% per Quadrum of inactivity
• After four consecutive Quadrums of inactivity, the player is marked as retired
• Retired players are tracked on the Nurgle’s Rot register but may return at any time

Return to League Play

• Retired or inactive players may request re-entry at any time
• Upon return, their ELO reflects all cumulative decay applied during their inactivity
• Players re-enter into Beta or Gamma, depending on space and relative ELO
• No returning player may re-enter Alpha directly
• Players returning from Alpha must complete one full Quadrum in Beta before being eligible for promotion back to Alpha

This ensures a fair return path, preserving the integrity of Alpha while allowing long-term participants to rejoin the system with continuity.
