Novus Consularis
Quadrum Duration
Each Quadrum in the Novus Consularis league lasts four months, aligning with the main league structure.
Purpose
The Novus Consularis is a protected entry-level competition tier for new players. It is designed to allow time for players to build a full 2,000-point army, learn the rules, and improve without pressure from the main league structure.
Rules
- All games are played at 1,000 points
- Players may remain in Novus Consularis until they join a 2,000-point tournament or league, after which they are automatically removed from the Novus Consularis tier
- There is no promotion or relegation in Novus Consularis
- Players may not re-enter Novus Consularis once they leave
- Match results are tracked with an internal Novus Consularis ELO, which is used for internal ranking and seeding, but does not affect the main League ELO
Promotion
Players are removed from Novus Consularis if:
- They play in any official 2,000-point tournament
- They register for a 2,000-point League Quadrum
- They win a Novice Tournament
- They exceed a performance ceiling of Novus Consularis ELO > 1600
Upon graduation, a new League ELO is assigned equal to the average of the bottom 25% of Beta Consularis, and the player enters Beta or Gamma depending on League size.
Anti-Sandbagging Policy
Novus Consularis is a safe space for novice growth. Tournament organizers may review high-performing players and force graduation if necessary to maintain fairness.
